Task 4

1) How do you intend to use media language to target your targeted audience?

For my music magazine I will be using a typography website called dafont which will allow me to  use a big colourful and bold masthead which will attract them to look at my magazine. The use of this is that it will attract the target audience which in this case is teenagers and hopefully will appeal to them. I will be using many images and will be including celebrities for star power as it will enable them to feel engaged wth magazine, also the use of direct address will be used. 

in addition my magazine will be targeted to teenagers aged 15-18. this therefore means that the magazine must be enjoyable for them to view, to appeal to them it will be appropriate to include a bunch of pictures as it'd keep them engaged.

Music Magazine Brief

Hey guys and welcome to my blog where I talk about the latest news and gossip going around in the world of music. Therefore I'd advise you to stay and carry on reading as there is content you do not want to be missing out!

The reason I have chosen music is because among other genres it is very common and something that is enjoyable to hear for majority of people, therefore my blogs will include music such as contemporary, pop, RNB you name it.

The Codes and conventions of the pop genre are =

• Masthead- Usually with a big and bold font to catch the attention of the audience.
• Contrasting colours are used to to catch the attention of the reader/audience.
• Strap-line usually under the masthead.
• The Headline is used to reinforce the selling point.
• Main Image is usually linked with the headlines.
• The shot of the main image is usually a medium close up.
• Celebrity used in the main image is used to caste a personal relationship with the audience as it is conventionally looking at them
